Breakfast

Organic oatmeal with real maple syrup, banana slices and cinnamon

Who doesn't like oatmeal? It's wholesome, filling and a great way to start the day. I topped mine with banana slices, but of course, you can use any fruits you want.


Mid Morning Snack

Nuts and dried fruits

Keep yourself full and satisfied with a handful of crunchy nuts and dried fruits. These make a fantastic snack that you can take anywhere.




Lunch

Thai Black Rice Stir Fry (recipe at this link)

Did you know that black rice is considered a "super food?" Just check out this article on Health.com. According to the article, black rice contains higher amounts of Vitamin E and antioxidants--good to know, because we love black rice for its awesome flavor!

Today's clean eating lunch is my favorite way to enjoy black rice. With eggs and broccoli lightly stir-fried into the rice, this dish is full of nutrition, as well as taste

Afternoon Snack

Figs

Some consider figs world's healthiest food; I just like the way they taste. Their texture's smooth and chewy; they have tiny seeds that are are fun to swallow; and they have mild sweetness that's quite addictive.

Figs are in season from June to September, so now is the perfect time to enjoy them.


Dinner

Peanut Sauce Chicken and Broccoli Broil (recipe here)

If you like peanut sauce, you'll like this recipe. The sauce is sweet, nutty, rich and flavorful. In my opinion, all the flavors exploded in my mouth. Also, instead of stir fry, I broiled. It's a healthier way of cooking. I highly recommend this recipe, and hope you try it some time.
